Mohawk Falls Wedding in Colebrook New Hampshire

Manika and Mitchell had the most epic wedding. They were married at Mohawk Falls, a stunning venue nestled in the mountains of Northern New Hampshire. 

Located in Colebrook, New Hampshire, Mohawk falls is so far north it’s almost in Canada! But this hidden gem is well worth the travel. This venue is something out of a dream. The grounds feature a ceremony site at the base of a cascading waterfall. Grassy cliffs, a quaint foot bridge, gazebo, and a covered bridge are just a few of the many locations on site for epic photos. The venue also hosts a modern barn, perfect for a large reception. Just outside the barn lies a sparkling lake where fireworks can be set off as unforgettable conclusion to an already beautiful day. 

Manika and Mitchell were such a fun loving and sweet couple. They even invited me their rehearsal dinner the evening before their wedding, which was the perfect opportunity to get to know the wedding party. The morning of their wedding, the couple got ready with the help of those closest to them. Manika’s bridesmaids excitedly helped her with her hair and makeup, and then her mother assisted her to put on her dress. Afterwards, Manika had the sweetest first look with her bridesmaids and flower girl. 

Meanwhile, Mitchell’s groomsmen helped him get ready. They made sure they looked their best, but still had time to rough house and enjoy all the excitement of their best friends special day. My favorite groomsmen detail was their personalized socks.

The couple had the sweetest first look, full of emotion. Happy tears, pure joy, and tons of laughter filled every portrait. Their genuine happiness was contagious. The entire wedding party was full of laughter and smiles. 

Mohawk Falls had a perfect backdrop for wedding party photos, sculpted rocky cliffs with flowers blooming at the bottom. After some formal shots, the group was up for an adventure! So we climbed the stairs to a covered bridge above the iconic waterfall. It is so much fun to work with a group that is down for an adventure!

Before the ceremony, we had to sneak in some more couples portraits. The two of them were just two cute together! Plus Mohawk Falls had so many fun spots to explore. 

The ceremony took place in front of the cascading waterfall, a perfect backdrop. A close family friend officiated and shared lovable stories about the couple. The bride and groom participated in a traditional tree watering ceremony and then exchanged the sweetest personal vows.

The reception space at Mohawk Falls was beautiful, a modern barn full of windows with plenty of sunlight shining through. Everything was decorated in hues of green. All the tables were named after the adventurous couple’s favorite places, both near and far.

At sunset we took advantage of that lingering summer light and went back outside for a few more portraits by the lake.

The reception was an absolute blast! The newlyweds shared the most emotional parent dances, the cutest cake cutting, and as a special surprise, they preformed a musical duet. Manika and Mitchell both are talented musicians, so it was quite a show!

The epic night concluded with a bang! A classic sparkler exit led the couple out of the barn to say goodnight to all their guests. Once all the guests were outside, a grand firework show displayed above the lake. The couple cuddled below watching in their own sweet moment of intimacy. This Mohawk Falls wedding was truly one of a kind and unforgettable. I am so grateful I had the privilege to document it!
