A Spring Charter Oak Country Club Wedding in Hudson, MA

Karen and Ben’s spring Charter Oak Country Club wedding took place on the most perfect May day, with flowers in full bloom and the soft warmth of the season in the air. Not only was it a beautiful celebration, but it was also my very first wedding of the 2025 season. Capturing a love story as heartfelt as theirs was such a joyful way to begin my season. 

Getting Ready at Trinity Congregational Church

This Charter Oak Country Club wedding began with both Karen and Ben getting ready at Trinity Congregational Church in Bolton, a place that holds deep meaning for them. Karen spent the morning upstairs in the fellowship hall with her mom and three bridesmaids. Every detail of her day was thoughtfully curated, featuring stunning shades of purple and pink, from her floral printed invitations to her vibrant bouquet and delicate gold jewelry.

Once her makeup was complete, Karen stepped into an elegant white gown adorned with intricate floral detailing. Her mother helped zip her dress and fasten her jewelry, including her meaningful gold bangles. Bathed in soft window light, we captured timeless bridal portraits that highlighted her natural radiance.

Meanwhile, Ben and his three groomsmen, his childhood friends, got ready just behind the sanctuary. There was something incredibly special about this moment, as it was the very church they had all grown up attending together. His friends helped adjust his tie and straighten his jacket, sharing laughter and excitement as Ben transformed into a groom on his wedding day. 

A First Look Beneath the Willow Trees

Karen and Ben shared their first look just outside the church, tucked beneath sweeping willow branches. The moment was filled with emotion, Ben’s excitement was undeniable as he saw his bride for the first time. Their joy radiated so effortlessly, making every frame feel alive. Afterward, we wandered beneath the trees for intimate portraits, soaking in the fresh spring air and those quiet, pre-wedding moments before the day unfolded.

Charming Wedding Party Portraits

Karen and her bridesmaids, dressed in soft pink tones, brought a sense of classic elegance to the portraits. They gathered along the church driveway, tending to Karen’s dress and creating effortlessly graceful moments. Ben and his groomsmen brought the energy, laughing, joking, and even tackling him mid-photo. Their dynamic made for such fun, candid images. The church driveway created the perfect setting for full wedding party portraits. The group was framed by branches above them and scattered yellow leaves behind them that added a subtle spring texture.

A Meaningful Ceremony at Trinity Congregational Church

Guests soon arrived for the ceremony, held inside Trinity Congregational Church, a place that has been part of Ben’s life since childhood and where he and Karen now worship together. It couldn’t have been a more meaningful setting for their vows. Karen and Ben exchanged heartfelt, personal promises, joining together in a sacred union. As they exited the church, they were met with cheers and celebration from loved ones lining the walkway, a joyful, unforgettable moment.

Charter Oak Country Club Wedding Portraits 

The celebration continued at Charter Oak Country Club in Hudson, MA, where the beautifully manicured grounds were bursting with spring blooms. We spent some time capturing both family and couple portraits with the vibrant flowers. Afterwards, we were chauffeured around the grounds, stopping at scenic locations that included a sunlit field glowing with golden light and the front of the venue’s grand facade. This Charter Oak Country Club wedding offered endless picturesque locations for portraits.

Inside, the Charter Oak ballroom was filled with romantic pink and purple details. Vibrant florals, tall candles, and sparkling chandeliers created an atmosphere that felt both elegant and inviting. Karen and Ben’s reception was full of energy and emotion, from their lively first dance to heartfelt toasts and a playful cake cutting. Surrounded by their closest family and friends, Karen and Ben’s happiness was undeniable.

Sunset Portraits to End the Day

As the evening came to a close, we stepped outside for one final set of portraits at sunset. Starting on the porch and then moving into the courtyard, Karen and Ben were surrounded by white spring blooms and the soft glow of golden hour. Karen and Ben’s Charter Oak Country Club wedding was the perfect blend of timeless elegance and vibrant spring romance, filled with meaningful details, genuine emotion, and so much love. It was an unforgettable way to begin the season.
