Castle Hill on the crane estate engagement

Castle Hill on the Crane Estate is an absolutely enchanting location for an engagement session!

Rich with history, Castle Hill is home to one of the last surviving American Estates from the early 1900s. This extravagant summer retreat is an 165 acre plot of land featuring lush gardens, rolling hills, a grand estate, and perfectly maintained historic architecture.

The Italian gardens are nothing short of breathtaking, evoking a sense of timeless beauty and tranquility reminiscent of European elegance. The contrast of vibrant flowers against the backdrop of evergreens and intricate stonework creates a truly magical atmosphere. The centerpiece of the estate, residing on the hilltop, is the Great House. It is a grand Stuart-Style mansion inspired by 17th century English country houses. Below the mansion are rolling hills lined with marble statues that extend all the way down to the ocean below. The view from the hilltop is breathtaking. On a clear day you can see right down to the water.

The best view is from hundreds of feet down the hillside, where you can see the majestic estate and all its glory perched above a stone facade surrounded by perfectly manicured grounds. For this Castle Hill engagement session we spent hours exploring the grounds, taking in all its beauty, and documenting the love Eden and her partner shared for each other.

The Photographer lens:

Castle Hill on the Crane Estate provided an unforgettable setting for Andrew’s proposal to his partner Dylan. He popped the question in front of the Great House. It’s stately architecture created a dramatic and timeless backdrop that heightened the romance of the moment. I stepped back to showcase the grandeur of the estate while still capturing the intimacy of the moment and Dylan’s pure excitement when she said “yes.”

During this Castle Hill on the Crane Estate engagement session we wandered through the grounds, creating images that reflected their playful sense of wonder. We strolled down the rolling hills of the Grand Allee and stopped at the mansion’s lower façade, which gave us the perfect view of the Estate. From there, Andrew and Dylan frolicked in the Italian Rose Garden, where the romantic ruins became the perfect backdrop for an ethereal session. This Crane Estate engagement session was a dream to capture, filled with joy, romance, and a setting that truly felt like it had been plucked straight from a fairytale.
